This Permit is issued to the Permittee for the purpose of determining the levels of PBDEs in the environment by using the Glaucous-winged gull (egg samples) as an indicator wildlife species in the BC marine ecosystem. This permit is also issued to study the diet and seasonal movements of double-crested cormorant, Pelagic cormorant, and Mytilus edulis or blue mussels for long-term contaminant trends and diluted bitumen toxicity.
