Management Area:
Squamish Area
Parks:
Stawamus Chief Park
Term:
5 years
Summary of Activity:
We would like to operate our beverage trailer in the parking lot at the base of The Stawamus Chief on sporadic but recurring dates throughout the spring, summer and fall. We are a self contained unit, with our own water, power and waste collection. We would arrive on mornings of service, set up, operate for the majority of sunlight hours, close up and completely remove everything we brought with us.
We serve coffee, smoothies, shaved ice (snow cones), kombucha, fresh pressed sugar cane juice and a few small snacks. All of our goods come in compostable containers, are organic and have as low an environmental impact as possible. We have a permit to operate in The District of Squamish and were lead to this idea by Community Futures of British Columbia. We feel this would be an excellent fit as there are currently no services available to hikers, climbers or campers anywhere in The Stawamus Chief Provincial Park. We were also told by our mentor at Community Futures BC that someone has previously operated a similar business in the parking lot of The Chief.
