Summary of Activity:
Noodlelegs Health and Fitness wishes to provide activities for Older Adults and assist them in enjoying their beautiful local Provincial Parks - in a fun and safe atmosphere - especially during Covid times. Our park activities may include brief intro classes in kayaking, paddleboarding and snowshoeing, Nordic pole walking/forest poling classes, and Osteofit classes. (No concrete plans for biking yet, but we are submitting it as a proposed activity.) Noodlelegs has begun reaching out to Indigenous Communities to promote Nordic Pole Walking (which helps with Type 2 Diabetes). We also extend our services and give many free classes to those in our community who cannot afford it. Noodlelegs is a new, family-run business located in Vernon, and we are here to help. Our activities are excellent for physical and mental health, and we socialize as we exercise. We would like to use our local Provincial Parks because many Older Adults will not frequent these parks (or activities) alone, but in our classes, they will get a chance to experience the natural beauty of BC in a safe, non-judgemental group atmosphere.
