Summary of Activity: 
Construction and occupancy of a fibre optic cable that will service the Cape Scott Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) lighthouse station. Reliable, high speed communication will allow the CCG to provide emergency response services more efficiently and ultimately improve the safety or mariners and the protection of the environment. The submarine fibre optic cable will enter the Park along the north boundary, come ashore at the CCG site and exit along the same north boundary. The 1.35 cm wide fibre optic cable will lay on the seabed surface and will be armoured with 81mm diameter ductile iron split pipe in the shallow subtidal and foreshore areas.
