Summary of Activity:
Construction and occupancy of the fibre optic cable that will service the Hot Springs Cove (Hesquiaht First Nation Refuge Cove 6 Indian Reserve). Reliable, high speed telecom communications will allow the community to improve communication for economic, medical, social and environmental purposes. The submarine fibre optic cable (1.35 cm wide) will lay on the seabed surface between 7 and 22 m depth through the Park.
