Term:

Summary of Activity:
Land occupancy to access and maintain existing community water system that services 60 properties in the community of Lac Le Jeune. The infrastructure has been in place since 1979 under a previous crown land tenure prior to the land being reverted to BC Parks tenure at some point in the 1990's. The pumphouse, water intake and section of underground piping are within the BC Park tenure. We are requesting access to our infrastructure and permission to improve the access to facilitate service vehicle access which will include large commercial vacuum trucks and delivery of specific components required for maintaining and upgrading the filtration system as directed by Interior Health. Currently there is no suitable road access to the pumphouse for these types of vehicles so a new short section (+/- 50 meters) of road will need to be constructed which will require removal of some trees/brush and installation of sub-grade material to create a road that will support the service vehicles. Also requesting to be able to clear any trees/brush within 3 - 5 meters of the pumphouse to protect our infrastructure from the risk of wildfire.
