To complete this research, Haynes Lease is proposed to be included as a study site where the following will occur: • Bat capture & release using mist nets, sunset to sunrise, over 3 nights mid-June to mid-July in 2024, 2025, and 2026 • Hair trimmed off bat backs, • Small amount of blood (10 microlitres) sampled from interfemoral vein • Equipment & handling tools disinfected following Canadian Wildlife Health guidelines • Capture along cliff edges at NW corner • Access on foot from Meadowlark Lane & existing paths used to minimize vegetation disturbance • No digging or soil disturbance • No equipment left unattended onsite • Bird nests to be avoided
