RCMP would like to co-locate with the existing BC Forestry radio site at the top Shawatum Mountain (located at GPS 49.1022, -121.061 at 2145m). This radio site will provide Public Safety Communications in the Skagit Valley Provincial Park to Ross Lake area. Along with co-location, RCMP would like to construct a timber helipad (16’x16’) to enable better site access. Constructing the helipad will include slinging personnel, materials and equipment to and from the site by helicopter. The RCMP would also like to install a solar stub post near the existing Com Shell.
