We would like to collect seeds of the wildflower Clarkia pulchella from each of these parks. This species typically occurs in very large populations (1000+ individuals). We would locate large, accessible populations and we would collect ripe seed (approximately 1-6 fruits) from up to 50 individuals. These seeds would be used in greenhouse experiments to study adaptation and climate change impacts on this species. We have identified potential locations based on park visits and iNaturalist data; these locations are accessible by road or trail. In some parks I have identified 2 possible collection locations, in others just one.
