Research activity includes surveying visitors to Manning Park in the summer/fall (July-October) season, 2026. Surveys will be administered in-person, on paper or electronically (on a tablet device). The survey instrument will not collect identifying information (such as visitors' names) but will measure visitors' (a) perceptions of forest and wildlife resources, and wildfire impacts, present at the park; (b) wildlife values and sense of place related to the park; (c) willingness to positively impact ecosystem services within the park; and (d) trip visit information (e.g., length of visit, party size) and visitor demographics (e.g., age, gender).
