Geological Summary |
The Hazelton (Jurassic) andesitic to rhyolitic tuffs and breccias, and the Bowser (Jurassic) sedimentary rocks are intruded by Jurassic to Tertiary plutons and dyke swarms. Resurgent periods of folding and faulting provided channelways and flexures confining ore shoots. The minerals are mainly argentiferous galena, pyrargyrite, polybasite, tetrahedrite, fribergite, native silver, sphalerite, chalcopyrite and pyrite.
