Geological Summary
The Lake zone of the Valley copper orebody lies within the youngest phase (Bethsaida) of the Guichon Creek Batholith. The granodiorite is strongly altered to sericite, kaolinite, k-feldspar and cut by numerous quartz veins. Bornite and chalcopyrite occur in veins and altered rock within the alteration zone, while pyrite and molybdenite appear to be restricted to the fringes.
