Poorly sorted conglomerate and hematitic mudstones of the Nanaimo Group lie unconformably above volcanics, clastic sedimentary rocks and limestone of the Sicker Group. A northeasterly elongated depression, possibly a karst development in limestone, contains sulphide zones with pyrite, pyrrhotite, chalcopyrite, gold values and rare galena and magnetite mineralization.
