Foliated diorite of the Cassiar batholith is intruded by diorite of Mid-Cretaceous age, and followed by emplacement of quartz diorite and basalt (Tertiary). Fissure-filling, 1 to 20 centimetre-wide quartz veins include chlorite, pyrite, galena, sphalerite, bismuthinite, chalcopyrite, covellite, molybdenite, and other minerals in lesser quantities.
