Geological Summary

The Sandspit Fault zone is a potential host to gold deposits. To the west are volcanic rocks of the Yakoun Formation and sedimentary rocks of the Haida Formation. To the east are sedimentary rocks of the Skonun Formation and a large intrusive of Cretaceous to Tertiary age.
