Geological Summary
Basalts and tuffs of the Fennel Formation are part of the Fennell Syncline whose axis is 6 kilometres to the west. The volcanic rocks are truncated to the east by the Baldy batholith. The deposit consists of beds or lenses of cupriferous pyrite, magnetite and talc in a siliceous tuffite unit within basalts of the Fennell Formation.
