Geological Summary |
Intermediate volcanics, breccias, tuffs and sandstones, minor argillites and limestone are metamorphosed to greenschist and form the Alta Lake pendant (Cretaceous) in quartz diorite intrusive. Numerous quartz-carbonate veins and fractures cut the pendant rocks, which are mineralized with pyrite, chalcopyrite, sphalerite and minor amounts of other sulphides.
