THE SOUTHERN BLOCK IS UNDERLAIN BY NICOLA GROUP ROCKS AND ROCKS OF THE BRADSHAW, INDEPENDENCE, SHOEMAKER AND OLD TOM FORMATIONS. PLUGS AND DYKES OF GABBRO CUT THROUGHOUT THE NICOLA GROUP OF ROCKS.
