THE CLAIMS ARE UNDERLAIN BY (PRE-UPPER TRIASSIC) INTERCALATED SEDIMENTARY AND VOLCANIC ROCKS COMPRISED OF PHYLLITE, SHALE, DOLOMITE, LIMESTONE, GREENSTONE, TUFF AND FOLIATED AUGITE PORPHYRY. THESE ROCKS ARE INTRUDED BY HORNBLENDE DIORITE AND SYENITE PLUGS AND DYKES. NARROW, BRECCIATED QUARTZ AND CARBONATE VEINS IN ALTERED DIORITE CONTAIN PYRITE. FUCHSITE OCCURS IN A MINOR POD OF QUARTZ- IRON-CARBONATE ALTERED ULTRAMAFICS.
