ANDESITIC TO BASALTIC ROCKS METAMORPHOSED TO CHLORITE SCHISTS OF THE ROSSLAND FORMATION ARE INTRUDED BY GRANITIC (CRETACEOUS) ROCKS. MINERAL LOCALIZATION APPEARS TO BE RELATED TO SHEARING AND FOLDING CAUSED BY INTRUSIVE ACTIVITY. OLD MINE WORKINGS EXPOSE THREE MAIN SULPHIDE VEINS: THE SILVER KING, IROQUOIS, AND KOHINOOR VEINS.
