Geological Summary |
ANDESITE FLOWS WITH INTERCALATED FELSIC TUFFS AND LIMESTONE, WHICH STRIKE NORTHWESTERLY AND DIP STEEPLY TO THE SOUTHWEST, PROBABLY BELONG TO THE JURASSIC BONANZA GROUP. THEY HAVE BEEN INTRUDED BY A MASSIVE GABBRO, ALSO OF JURASSIC AGE. NEAR THE GABBRO-VOLCANIC CONTACT, GOLD-BEARING QUARTZ VEINS OCCUR IN FRACTURES AND SHEAR ZONES.
