UNDERLYING SEDIMENTRY AND FELSIC VOLCANIC ROCKS OF THE EAGLE BAY FORMATION ARE IN FAULT? CONTACT WITH THE OVERLYING PILLOW AND MASSIVE BASALT, AND RELATED ROCKS OF THE FENNELL FORMATION (LOWER TO MIDDLE MISSISSIPPIAN). TIGHT FOLDS ARE COMMON. THE NEARBY MASSIVE SULPHIDE DEPOSITS OCCUR IN THE LOWER PART OF THE FENNELL FORMATION, IN CHERT- CHERTY TUFF AND GREENISH METABASALTS.
