Geological Summary
Maroon basaltic breccia, feldspathic sandstone, grit, conglomerate and lenses of massive limestone (Upper Triassic - Lower Jurassic age) are intruded by alkalic stocks and dyke complexes. The rocks form a homoclinal sequence dipping moderately northeast. Weak copper mineralization consists of bornite and copper oxides in fractures in limestone, disseminated tetrahedrite and covellite in sandstone. Native copper and bornite in basalt, and disseminated chalcopyrite in feldspar porphyry stocks and dykes.
