THE UNDERLYING ROCKS ARE SICKER GROUP ANDESITIC TO DACITIC TUFFS AND FLOWS, BANDED CHERTY TUFFS, FELDSPAR PORPHYRY SILLS OR DYKES, AND BUTTLE LAKE LIMESTONE, CHERT AND ARGILLITE. BEDDING DIPS ARE MODERATE SOUTHEASTERLY TO EASTERLY. MAJOR FAULTING IS NOT EVIDENT. PYRITE, MINOR PYRRHOTITE, CHAL- COPYRITE AND MALACHITE OCCUR IN ANDESITE AND THIN QUARTZ-CARBONATE VEINS.
