THE UNDERLYING ROCKS ARE PRE-UPPER TRIASSIC AGE GREENSTONE, TUFF BRECCIA, MINOR ARGILLITE, LIME- STONE AND QUARTZITE. SEVERAL TUFFACEOUS UNITS ARE WELL PYRITIZED AND GOSSANOUS. LOCAL AREAS CONTAIN NUMEROUS QUARTZ AND CALCITE VEINLETS. ONE SAMPLE ASSAYED 2.2 GRAMS OF GOLD PER TONNE. THE ROCKS DIP 15 DEGREES TO THE NORTHEAST WITH A PROMINENT VERTICAL SLATEY CLEAVAGE.
