ON THE EASTERN PERIMETER, PHYLLITES OVERLIE ANDESITE OF THE (PERMIAN) SLIDE MOUNTAIN GROUP. THESE ROCKS ARE FOLDED INTO AN OVERTURNED SYNCLINE. LARGE, BARREN QUARTZ VEINS ARE PRESENT IN AXIAL PLANE FRACTURE OPENINGS. DISSEMINATED PYRITE MINERALIZATION IS PRESENT IN SHALE.
