THE CLAIMS ARE UNDERLAIN BY QUARTZITE, SILTSTONE AND ARGILLITE OF THE (LATE PRECAMBRIAN) MIDDLE ALDRIDGE FORMATION. THE SEDIMENTS ARE INTRUDED BY DIORITE AND QUARTZ DIORITE SILLS OF THE (HELIKIAN) MOYIE INTRUSIONS. MODERATELY ANOMALOUS GOLD VALUES WERE RETURNED FROM SOIL GEOCHEMICAL SAMPLES AND ARE THOUGHT TO BE ASSOCIATED WITH A SHEAR ZONE IN THE ROCKS.
