THE MINERALIZATION ON OROFINO MOUNTAIN OCCURS IN AN AREA UNDERLAIN BY GREENSTONES, SEDIMENTS AND INTRUSIVES. MINERALIZATION CONSISTS OF VERTICAL QUARTZ VEINS UP TO 1.3 METERS WIDE, AND OF UNKNOWN LENGTH, IN WHICH PYRITE, CHALCOPYRITE, GALENA AND FREE GOLD OCCUR. EXTENSIONS OF THE STRUCTURE ARE INDICATED BY VLF-ELECTROMAGNETIC AND GEOCHEMICAL RESULTS.
