Geological Summary |
THE CLAIM IS UNDERLAIN BY A COMPLEX RHYOLITE BRECCIA PIPE, SHOWING BLEACHING AND CLAY ALTERA- TION, WHICH HAS INTRUDED (TERTIARY) MARRON FORMA- TION ANDESITE FLOWS. THE PIPE IS ABOUT 200 METRES WIDE AND OF UNKNOWN LENGTH. NO SULPHIDES ARE EVIDENT IN OUTCROP BUT LIMONITE CASTS (PYRITE?) HAVE BEEN NOTED. ZINC, THALLIUM, MERCURY AND ARSENIC VALUES DETECTED ARE ANOMALOUS IN SOILS OVERLYING THE RHYOLITE BRECCIA.
