THE BRALORNE-PIONEER MINING DISTRICT IS UNDERLAIN BY FOLDED PERMIAN TO JURASSIC SEDIMENTARY/VOLCANIC ROCK UNITS WHICH HAVE BEEN FAULTED AND INTRUDED BY SUBVOLCANIC UPPER JURASSIC AGED GABBROS, DIO- RITES, SODA GRANITES AND ALBITIC DYKES. ANDESITIC- DACITIC VOLCANIC UNITS WITHIN THE BRIDGE RIVER GROUP ARE FOLDED AND METAMORPHOSED AND ARE CALLED THE PIONEER GREENSTONES. REGIONAL NORTHWEST STRIKING REVERSE FAULTS ENCOMPASS THE VOLCANIC AND INTRUSIVE UNITS WHICH HOST GOLD BEARING FISSURE AND TENSION VEINS.
