Geological Summary
EARLY JURASSIC ASHCROFT FORMATION CONGLOMERATE SEDIMENTS OCCUR ALONG THE EASTERN PORTION OF THE PROPERTY WITHIN A GRABEN STRUCTURE MARKED BY FAULT CONTACTS WITH NORTH-NORTHWEST TRENDING SEQUENCE OF LATE TRIASSIC NICOLA GROUP VOLCANICS- SEDIMENTS. SMALL BODIES OF TRIASSIC-JURASSIC SYENITE AND TERTIARY GRANODIORITE INTRUDE THESE SEQUENCES. EOCENE KAMLOOPS GROUP VOLCANICS CAP ALL OLDER UNITS ON THE EAST AND WEST EDGES OF THE CLAIM GROUP. NUMEROUS MERCURY-RICH ALTERATION ZONES IN THE NICOLA GROUP VOLCANICS ARE ASSOCIATED WITH NORTH-NORTHWEST TRENDING EN-ECHELON FAULTS. NARROW EPITHERMAL CARBONATE-QUARTZ-BARITE VEINING IN THE SOUTH PORTION OF THE PROPERTY CONTAIN CINNABAR AND TETRAHEDRITE.
