Geological Summary |
CHERT, ARGILLITE, CHERT PEBBLE CONGLOMERATE, CHERT BRECCIA, QUARTZITE, MINOR ANDESITE, LIMESTONE AND SCHIST OF THE CACHE CREEK GROUP (PENNSYLVANIAN- PERMIAN AGE) ARE EXPOSED AT HIGHER ELEVATIONS. LOCALLY, THESE ROCKS ARE CUT BY A NARROW GRANITE DYKE AND QUARTZ VEINS. THERE ARE TWO STRONG NORTH- WESTERLY TRENDING VLF-ELECTROMAGNETIC ANOMALIES WHICH CORRESPOND WITH MODERATELY HIGH GEOCHEMICAL SOIL RESULTS.
