THE QR DEPOSIT IS HOSTED BY TRIASSIC-JURASSIC TAKLA GROUP ROCKS WITHIN THE QUESNEL TROUGH. FINELY DISSEMINATED GOLD IN PROPYLITIZED BASALTIC ROCKS OCCUR NEAR THE OUTER PHASES OF A DIORITE PLUTON. THE MINERALIZED ZONE REPLACES FAVOURABLE CALCAREOUS TUFFS AND BRECCIAS AT A BASALT-SILT- STONE CONTACT.
