Geological Summary
THE CURRENT GEOLOGICAL MAPPING DETERMINED THE STRATIGRAPHY IN THE FAWNIE NOSE AREA. THE OLDEST ROCKS OF THE AREA ARE BASALTIC AND ANDESITIC VOLCANICS OF THE TAKLA GROUP, WHICH ARE OVERLAIN BY A SECOND VOLCANIC PILE OF THE HAZELTON GROUP AND OVERLAIN IN TURN BY MARINE SEDIMENTS. MINER- ALIZATION (SILVER, LEAD, ZINC) OCCURS WITHIN RHYOLITES OF THE HAZELTON GROUP.
