Geological Summary
THE CLAIMS ARE UNDERLAIN BY STEEPLY DIPPING, ISO- CLINALLY FOLDED SHALES, SILTSTONES AND DIABASE OF THE SEDIMENT-SILL SUCCESSION, WHICH OVERLIES MAFIC FLOWS AND FELSIC TO INTERMEDIATE PYROCLASTIC ROCKS OF THE MYRA FORMATION. BOTH FORMATIONS OCCUR WITH- IN THE SICKER GROUP OF PALEOZOIC AGE AND ARE INTRUDED BY GABBRO. IN THE NORTHERN PART OF THE CLAIMS BEDDED PYRITE OCCURS IN SILTSTONE AND MAGNETITE-JASPER IRON FORMATION IS INTERBEDDED WITH INTERMEDIATE VOLCANIC ROCKS.
