THE REX FRACTION IS UNDERLAIN BY ROCKS OF THE TRIASSIC SLOCAN GROUP. THE ROCKS ARE MEDIUM- GRAINED SANDSTONE INTERBEDDED WITH MINOR TUFF AND GREYWACKE. THE SANDSTONE HAS UNDERGONE ALTERATION CONSISTING OF SILICIFICATION AND PYRITE MINERALIZATION WITH PARTIAL TEXTURAL DESTRUCTION. THE ADJOINING LH CROWN GRANTED CLAIM COVERS A GOLD SHOWING.
