Geological Summary
METASEDIMENTS, METAVOLCANICS, DIORITE AND SERPENTINITE OF THE SYLVESTER GROUP OCCUR ON THE CLAIMS. THE VOLCANICS CONTAIN LOCAL PORPHYRITIC TEXTURES AND FLOW BANDING. PROPYLITIC, CARBONATE AND SILICA ALTERATION ARE COMMON. QUARTZ-CARBONATE VEINS OCCUR WITHIN THE METAVOLCANICS AND DIORITE. THE VEINS GRADE FROM WHITE AND MASSIVE IN THE VEIN CENTRE TO VEIN BRECCIA AT THE MARGINS. NO SIGNIFICANT MINERALIZATION WAS DISCOVERED. THE SOIL GEOCHEMICAL SURVEY RETURNED SPOTTY ELEVATED VALUES OF GOLD AND SILVER. THE GEOPHYSICAL SURVEY CONTAINED WIDELY SPACED LINES MAKING A MAGNETIC INTERPRETATION DIFFICULT.
