THE MAJORITY OF THE BC LORANGER GROUP IS UNDER- LAIN BY THE DEVONIAN-MISSISSIPPIAN AND OLDER EAGLE BAY FORMATION INTERMEDIATE TO FELSIC VOL- CANICS AND SEDIMENTS WHILE A SMALL NORTHERN POR- TION OF THE GROUP IS UNDERLAIN BY THE CRETACEOUS BALDY BATHOLITH GRANITES AND GRANODIORITES. ROCKS IN THE VICINITY OF THE DRILL HOLES ARE RHYODACITE TUFFS WHICH HAVE BEEN DYNAMOTHERMALLY METAMORPH- OSED. MINOR SULPHIDE MINERALIZATION CONSISTING OF PYRRHOTITE, SPHALERITE AND GALENA WAS ENCOUNTERED IN ONE DRILL HOLE.
