Geological Summary
THE PROPERTY IS UNDERLAIN BY UPPER TRIASSIC TO LOWER JURASSIC VOLCANIC AND SEDIMENTARY ROCKS OF THE QUESNEL RIVER GROUP. THESE ROCKS HAVE BEEN INTRUDED BY COMAGMATIC ALKALIC STOCK AND DYKE COMPLEXES. STRUCTURALLY, THE ROCKS FORM A HOMOCLI- NAL SEQUENCE STRIKING NORTHWEST AND DIPPING MODERATELY TO THE NORTHEAST. ALTERATION IS WEAK. MINERALIZATION CONSISTS OF BORNITE, CHALCOPYRITE AND NATIVE COPPER WITH COPPER OXIDES IN FRACTURE AND SHEAR ZONES. WEAK GOLD MINERALIZATION (0.68 GRAMMES/TONNE) WAS ENCOUNTERED IN TWO OF SIX HOLES.
