Geological Summary
THE MONA CLAIMS ARE UNDERLAIN BY UPPER PALEOZOIC AGE METAMORPHOSED EUGEOSYNCLINAL ROCKS OF THE MORROWAN TO GUADALUPIAN GROUPS, WHICH ARE INTRUDED BY MESOZOIC AGE GRANITES AND DIORITES. MINERALIZA- TION IS PRESENT AS PYRITE AND RARE PYRRHOTITE WITHIN NORTHEAST STRIKING QUARTZ VEINS IN SHEARED DIORITES. ALTHOUGH A MAGNETOMETER DID NOT DETECT ANY MAGNETIC VARIATION WITHIN THE BEDROCK, TWO LINEAR NORTH-SOUTH VLF CONDUCTORS WERE DETECTED.
