A SERIES OF QUARTZ SULPHIDE VEINS, UP TO ONE METRE IN WIDTH, ARE EXPOSED IN VOLCANICS OF THE BETTY CREEK FORMATION (MIDDLE JURASSIC) JUST NORTH OF KNIPPLE LAKE AND WEST OF A LARGE EOCENE FELDSPAR PORPHYRY STOCK. MINERALIZATION CONSISTS OF ARGENT- IFEROUS GALENA, SPHALERITE, CHALCOPYRITE, PYRITE AND TETRAHEDRITE, WITH SILVER VALUES RUNNING TO 7747 GRAMMES/TONNE. PYRITIZED ZONES RELATED TO THE STOCK ARE COMMON, HOWEVER, NONE HAVE BEEN FOUND TO CONTAIN ECONOMIC MINERALIZATION.
