TRIASSIC NICOLA ALKALINE VOLCANICLASTIC AND FLOW ROCKS WITH INTERCALATED MAROON POLYLITHIC CONGLOM- ERATE STRIKE NORTH-NORTHWEST AND DIP MODERATELY TO THE EAST. THE NICOLA ROCKS ARE UNCONFORMABLY OVER- LAIN BY RELATIVELY FLAT LYING TERTIARY TO EOCENE KAMLOOPS GROUP BASALT FLOWS AND BRECCIAS AND BY A SMALL SEDIMENTARY BASIN-FILLED CONGLOMERATE TO SILTSTONE SEQUENCE. NORTHERLY AND EASTERLY TREND- ING FAULTS AND FLAT-LYING TO VERTICAL SILICIFIED ZONES OF CHALCEDONY AND CHALCEDONIC BRECCIA CUT ALL ROCK TYPES. THE ZONES ARE UP TO 2.5 METRES THICK BY 100 METRES ALONG STRIKE, WITH CLAY, IRON OXIDE AND CARBONATE ALTERATION ENVELOPES.
