THE AREA IS UNDERLAIN BY THE FOLLOWING FORMATIONS OF THE PROTEROZOIC PURCELL SUPER GROUP (A) KITCH- ENER, UPPER UNIT ; (B) CRESTON; (C) ALDRIDGE, DOLOMITE, ARGILLITE, GREY SILTITE . THE AREA INVESTIGATED IS COVERED BY A THICK LAYER OF ALLUVIAL MATERIAL IN THE LOWER SECTOR. IN THE UPPER SECTOR ARE TWO OUTCROPS, 25 METRES APART, OF A QUARTZ VEIN WITH SOME LIMONITE. THE VEIN STRIKES EAST-WEST.
