THE CLAIMS ARE UNDERLAIN BY PALEOZOIC SEDIMENTS ON THE WEST WHICH ARE IN CONTACT WITH UPPER TRI- ASSIC VOLCANICS AND SEDIMENTS ON THE EAST. EXTEN- SIVE AREAS OF SERICITE ALTERATION WITH QUARTZ AND PYRITE VEINING OCCUR MARGINAL TO CRETACEOUS AGE DIORITE STOCKS. SOIL SURVEY RESULTS ARE MARGINALLY ANOMALOUS.
