Geological Summary
UPPER TRIASSIC BASALT FLOWS AND BRECCIAS, AND ANDESITE WITH MINOR INTERBEDDED CHERT, SILTSTONE AND LIMESTONE OF THE TAKLA GROUP ARE OVERLAIN BY EARLY TO MIDDLE JURASSIC AGE TOODOGGONE TUFFS, AGGLOMERATE, CONGLOMERATE, GREYWACKE AND TRACHY- ANDESITE PORPHYRY FLOWS. THESE ROCKS ARE CUT BY GRANITIC INTRUSIVES WHICH ARE PROBABLY FEEDER DYKES FOR THE TOODOGGONE VOLCANICS. SEVERAL QUARTZ VEIN SYSTEMS SUGGEST EPITHERMAL ACTIVITY AND POSSIBLE PRECIOUS METAL MINERALIZATION.
