THE CLAIMS ARE UNDERLAIN BY A COMPLEX SEQUENCE OF MESOZOIC AGE SEDIMENTARY AND VOLCANIC ROCKS WHICH HAVE BEEN SUBJECTED TO FAULTING, FOLDING AND INTRUSION BY UPPER MESOZOIC AND CENOZOIC AGE GRANITIC AND BASALTIC STOCKS AND DYKES. STRONG GOLD SOIL VALUES (UP TO 5000 PPB) HAVE BEEN IDENTIFIED IN ALTERED HURLEY GROUP SEDIMENTARY ROCKS ASSOCIATED WITH GRANITIC DYKES IN THE VICINITY OF A MAJOR FRACTURE SYSTEM.
