Geological Summary
THE CLAIMS ARE UNDERLAIN BY UPPER PALEOZOIC GNEISSES OF THE CENTRAL GNEISS COMPLEX. THE ROCKS IN THE AREA REPRESENT A HIGHLY METAMORPHOSED VOLCANIC/SEDIMENTARY BELT. MASSIVE PYRITE, SPHALERITE, CHALCOPYRITE AND PYRRHOTITE OCCUR IN WIDTHS UP TO 0.3 METRES, HOSTED BY CHLORITE AND SERICITE SCHISTS. GEOPHYSICAL SURVEY RESULTS HAVE IDENTIFIED SEVERAL HLEM CONDUCTORS ASSOCIATED WITH FELSIC AND INTERMEDIATE VOLCANICS.
