Geological Summary
The claims are underlain by sediments of the Upper Triassic Quatsino and Parson Bay Formations and volcanics of the Lower Jurassic Bonanza Group and Tertiary Lost Shoe Formation. These rocks are intruded by Eocene Catface quartz diorite. Mineralization, which is confined to shear zones within the intrusive and country rocks consists of auriferous pyrite, arsenopyrite and base metal sulphides. Epithermal alteration forms a halo at the larger shear zones.
