Geological Summary
Upper Triassic Nicola Group volcanic and sedimentary rocks are intruded by ultramafic to felsic rocks of the Lodestone, Coast and Otter intrusions. Near the Rabbitt Mine volcanic rocks have been altered to greenschist facies with hydrothermal alteration superimposed on the units near quartz vein systems. Mineralization consists of free gold, chalcopyrite, minor pyrite, sphalerite and galena in quartz veins.
