Geological Summary
A northwest trending fault separates Upper Triassic Takla Group augite porphyry basalt from the Black Lake quartz monzonite stock. The former rock unit is separated from the Lower to Middle Jurassic Toodoggone Group quartzose plagioclase tuffs and breccias by a northwest trending sinuous fault zone on the north boundary of the claim. The eastern part of the claim is underlain by the latter lithologies mixed with andesitic quartzose ash flows.
